28 weeks along

more 4-d stuff here.

As promised, here is the update:

The pregnancy is going very, very well!!! AJ is still a mad kicking fool, and feeling him move is something that never gets old. Lavinia still likes it, but he kicks a LOT late at night, so it keeps her up sometimes...

The 28 week appt went well, all things considered... Lavinia doesn't have Gestational Diabetes, and AJ is growing quite nicely. The one heartstopping moment was Lavinia passing out in my arms. That was the longest 10 seconds of my life... It was the combination of the fasting for the diabetes test, and being on her back for the ultrasound. She's perfectly OK, though. Passing out apparently isn't all that uncommon... who knew?

To put everything in perspective on how truely amazing this process is I give you the following:

ok, so I'm a mad slacker... it's been 3 months since the last post, and I'm sure people want more info...
It's a boy!!! So far it's been a text-book pregnancy, she was sick when she was supposed to be, and it stopped when it's supposed to stop. the size, heartbeat, well, EVERYTHING is in normal ranges. All the tests for birth-defects have comeback negative... it really is all good!!!
Although I was hoping for a baseball player, me'thinks, the european blood is taking over, as he's pretty much kicking Lavinia silly... I can live with a soccer hooligan, but, maybe there will be time to convert him... I actually felt the baby kicking a few days ago... THAT was a singular experience... another one of those things people tell you about, but nothing can prepare you for it...

Did I mention the baby is a boy? :o)

for those that don't know... WE ARE PREGNANT!!!! well, one of us is, and it's not the one that looks it... Pictures to come, and maybe a video...

I've been strangely quiet... It's just cause I'm so darn happy!!! :o)

SO, just what HAS happened since the last post?

well, on Oct 11, we celebrated our anniversary by me getting baptised, and having a vow renewal of sorts... In case you're reading this and thinking that you were somehow left out or lost you invitation, you didn't... we wanted both the baptism and the vows to be just us and the preacher... so that's what we did...

then on Oct 13, we had the formal welcome to the family cookout... it was a blast, Marius and Nichole came up from GA. for the event...

Other that that, we are getting settled in quite nicely and just doing married couple things... I make messes, and she cleans them up... :o)

but other than that we really just enjoying the fact we are in the same house at the same time... things that some couples take for granted we do our best to enjoy... even the simple pleasures of cooking together mean the world to us... I guess that year apart, as painful as it was, put a great many things in perspective...

so, there you go... you are now officially caught up!
